Consultant Cardiologist – Cardiovascular, Auckland City Hospital, New Zealand

Come and join our world-renowned Green Lane Cardiovascular Service based at Auckland City Hospital, New Zealand. 

Applications are being invited from Cardiologists who would like to live and work in one of the world’s most liveable cities, Auckland, New Zealand. The position offered is full-time in adult cardiology, where you will have the general suite of cardiology skills. Advanced training in coronary intervention is essential and training in structural cardiac interventions would be an advantage. Case mix includes both elective and acute.

Auckland City Hospital is a 700+ bed University teaching hospital which provides secondary health services to the people of the central Auckland area, as well as tertiary cardiothoracic services regionally and quaternary services nationally.  The Green Lane Cardiovascular Service is the largest public hospital cardiology department in NZ.  We offer a full complement of sub-specialties in adult cardiology including coronary intervention, TAVI, complex electrophysiology, cardiac transplantation and adult congenital cardiology. We provide adult cardiology and cardiac surgery for South Pacific Island patients, in particular Tahiti. Paediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery for the South Pacific is provided at the adjoining Starship Children’s Hospital. You will be joining a highly regarded clinical team who are encouraged to conduct research and who are passionate about teaching and passing their knowledge to our junior staff.  You will be eligible for an honorary position with the University of Auckland School of Medicine.
