How do I become a member of CSANZ?

To become a member of CSANZ, please click here to join now. You will be prompted to create an account. Once you have created your account, please enter your details and upload your CV along with the required application documents. We look forward to welcoming you to the Cardiac Society.

How much does CSANZ membership cost?

The CSANZ membership year runs over the calendar year, from January to December.

Renewal reminders will be sent out to you via email or SMS from December each year for the following year. You can opt in for automatic renewal via credit card if you wish.

We accept Visa, Mastercard or debit card. 

How long does the membership process take from application?

The Member application process can take up to 4 weeks.  All membership applications must go through a strict approval process and successful candidates will be notified by email once your membership has been approved.

How long does the CSANZ Fellow process take from application? 

The Fellow application can take up to 3 months as your application will need to be ratified by the CSANZ Board at their quarterly meeting.

What is required to become a Fellow of CSANZ?

Read more about the eligibility criteria and process of becoming a Fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand here. All Fellow applications will be reviewed by the Professional and Ethical Standards Committee (PESC) and then be submitted to the Board for approval.

How do I become a member of a CSANZ Council?

When joining CSANZ, you will be asked to nominate up to three councils that align with your practice and/or interest.  All members are invited to attend the respective AGM of those councils, however only CSANZ Fellows are eligible to vote at these meetings.  The AGM of each council is generally held on the Thursday prior to the CSANZ Annual Scientific Meeting in August. 

Expressions of Interest (EOI) for vacant positions on the Executive of a CSANZ Council will be circulated to Council members via email, and on the CSANZ website. If you would like to submit an EOI to join the Executive of the CSANZ Council, please contact the Council Chair via the CSANZ email with your CV and cover letter outlining your interest and expertise. 

If you would like to become a member of an alternative council, you may update your preferences by logging into your CSANZ Account and selecting 'My Profile' then 'My Councils'. Alternatively, if you would like assistance updating your Councils, please contact us.

How do I become a member of a CSANZ Committee?

Each committee has executive members who hold regular meetings throughout the year.  If you would like to become more involved with a CSANZ Committee, when an opportunity arises members will be asked via email or via the CSANZ eNewsletter, to submit an EOI to join a committee.  Please contact the Committee Chair via the CSANZ email with your CV and cover letter outlining your interest and expertise.

How do I apply for a Travelling Fellowship, Grant or scholarship through the Cardiac Society?

What if I’ve forgotten my CSANZ login ?

Please select 'Log in' and then 'Forgot password' and follow the prompts. Alternatively, if you would like assistance to reset your password, please contact us via email and we will be able to reset your password for you.  

If my membership has lapsed, how do I rejoin?

Please contact us via email and we will look at reinstating your membership status (some conditions may apply).  

How do I access the CSANZ Member educational resource and video libraries?

To access CSANZ Member educational resources, navigate to the 'Resources' tab on the CSANZ website. Searches can be refined by category, such as position statements, practice guidelines, latest device alerts, educational content, and ASM. It can then be further refined by cardiology stream or speciality, such as cardiac imaging, heart rhythm/electrophysiology, nursing, basic and translational science.  Go to CSANZ resources here.
