The Team
Christchurch Hospital provides tertiary cardiac services to the South Island of New Zealand. The department has Electrophysiologists. It performs over 750 EP studies/procedures per year. You’ll have access to state-of-the-art equipment, world class consultants and continue to build on your experience of standard and complex EP procedures and device implantation.

We provide specialised tertiary level care to Canterbury and the South Island. Our department has accreditation for advanced training in Cardiology by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

The Role
We have the ideal opportunity for a Cardiologist with sub-specialist skills in Electrophysiology to join the world leading team at Christchurch Hospital.

You’ll be involved in the preparation and performance of EP procedures and cardiac devices, acute care and outpatient clinics. You will be required to participate in the after-hours roster covering cardiology inpatients and EP call.

The department has an active research programme and contributions to this will be welcomed.

You will have completed your advanced training in Cardiology (FRACP, MRCP (UK) or equivalent) and have sub-specialist fellowship training in EP for a minimum of two years.
