Significant growth within the region has created the need to recruit a cardiologist to join an established private practice in Mildura.

You will join a group of cardiologists in this busy and thriving practice. You will benefit from an established referral network with an immediate referral base.

Flexible hours with a minimum of four days per week are offered to support your lifestyle and public hospital commitments. The structure of your appointment will be agreed by negotiation. This practice has been established for 32 years and offers a broad range of non invasive cardiac care. Our cardiac technologists provide the most comprehensive cardiology care in the region. The team uses state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to perform non-invasive testing procedures at two separate locations including both public and private hospitals.

We have strong links to tertiary hospitals and offer ongoing training. There is opportunity for teaching, research and clinical trials.

This role offers general cardiology, echocardiography, stress testing/stress echocardiography/transoesophageal echocardiography, CT angiography and pacing/ICDs. Access to meetings with other cardiologists is available to maintain CME and for peer review.

Mildura is located in NW Victoria and has a catchment area of one fifth of the state. We also treat patients from Broken Hill, Riverland SA and NSW. ‘Sunraysia’as it is known, is best described as an inland oasis and is located on the Murray River. It is a one hour plane flight to Melbourne or 1.5 hours to Adelaide. A range of industries are based here and the region has a variety of private and public schools, TAFE, La Trobe University Campus and Monash University School of Rural Health campus. There is an extensive choice of affordable residential properties making it a popular with families, couples and retirees.

Applicants must hold FRACP or be close to completing your fellowship and be eligible for registration with AHPRA.  Ideally we would like you to commence on 1.7.2019.
