PLUS benefit from another opportunity to present at the 2024 CSANZ ASM.

CSANZ members are invited to submit interesting cardiac imaging cases, for oral presentation within the imaging stream in a quick-fire format for the CSANZ ASM 2024. 

Submissions should highlight an interesting, unique, thought provoking or educational aspect of cardiac imaging. A prize will be awarded at the end of the session for the best presentation.

Submissions should include:

  • Up to 4 key images, either stills on cines, to allow judges to shortlist finalists
  • A brief description of the case explaining why the images are of interest, limited to 100 words.
  • Submissions should be <15MB.

Email your submission to [email protected] with Subject: Quick Fire Cardiac Imaging Case. Applications close 12 June 2024.

Separate instructions will be sent for your presentation if you are shortlisted as a finalist.  Please note as a finalist, you will need to register for the 2024 CSANZ ASM.

Victoria’s winning abstract presentation is on “Multifunctional porphyrin-lipid nanoparticles – novel nanoscale theranostics for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease”.

Congratulations to Samual Turnbull, the winner of the 2023 Allied Health, Science and Technology Prize

Prof Caleb Ferguson interviews Samual Turnbull, Cardiac Physiologist at Westmead Hospital and Westmead Applied Research Centre. Sam’s abstract presentation is “Accuracy of single-lead ECG for the diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmias compared to the gold standard of cardiac electrophysiology study”.  Sam discusses his project and where it will be going next!

Congratulations to the CSANZ 2023 Cardiovascular Nursing Prize Winner – Wendan Shi.

Prof Caleb Ferguson interviews Wendan Shi, PhD Candidate University of Sydney about her project and to find out next steps. Wendan’s winning abstract was entitled “Improving secondary prevention knowledge in immigrants after a heart attack: adapting and evaluating a virtual patient education resource to promote behaviour change”
