Position Title: Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) Fellowship

Employment Status: Temp P/T (11.4 hrs p/wk, up to 31/1/2021) – MDP2

Locations: Southern Adelaide Local Health Network, Flinders Medical Centre

Indicative Total Remuneration: $94,749 – $154,146 (pro rata)

Position Summary

You will provide comprehensive Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) imaging services across the Southern Adelaide region. This will encompass congenital imaging, stress imaging, and cardiomyopathy imaging. Undertaking timely documentation of the assessment, management and treatment of patients in the patient’s medical record, you will ensure timely communication (written and verbal) with other health care professionals such as GPs. You will also be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, administrative tasks, research projects, and being involved in professional and community services activities. In addition to services in the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network, you may provide outreach services to country South Australia and the Northern Territory. The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) provides care for around 341,000 people living in the Southern Metropolitan area of Adelaide as well as providing a number of state-wide services, and services to those regional areas. More than 7,000 skilled staff provides high quality patient care, education, research and health promoting services. 

Holding a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, you will be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration. With proven experience in Cardiovascular Medicine and teaching in public hospitals, you will be skilled in performing all cardiac investigations including ECG reporting, echocardiography reporting and Holter monitor reporting. Committed to working as a member of a team and with the ability to liaise in a consultative manner, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
