Position: Interventional Cardiologist
Charles Clinic Heart Care is one of Australia’s fastest growing cardiology practices. Situated in Launceston, Tasmania, we are a high-quality service currently employing three full-time and eleven visiting cardiologists. Currently we have over 55,000 patients and provide over 37,000 services per year.
We are seeking a pleasant, caring and experienced interventional cardiologist who must be able to work well within our team and possess the judgement and skills to operate confidently without local cardiac surgical support.
Currently supported by the Calvary St Vincent’s Cath Lab, we look forward to the development of the new $200m co-located private hospital adjoining our practice to open in the near future.
We have increasing demand for angiography and angioplasty services with outstanding capacity for long term significant growth. An excellent opportunity to develop a strong vibrant interventional practice.
Our staff include ten cardiac sonographers, two cardiac technicians and a large administrative support team. We have an extensive, nationally recognised, regional outreach program throughout the north of the state and a newly built centre at Burnie in the North West.
Our modern rooms provide a professional, harmonious and supportive working environment utilising leading practice software integration and data management. We provide a full range of high-quality non-invasive and pacemaker services using state of the art equipment.
Applicants for this position must be eligible for registration with AHPRA (Medical Board of Australia) together with a cardiology accredited fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, or equivalent specialist overseas qualification. Remuneration will be based on skills and experience.
