Position Title: 2020 Interventional Cardiology Fellowship (The Yean L. Lim Interventional Cardiology Fellowship)

About the Role
Applications are sought for the Y.L Lim Training Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Western Health. The position commences on 3 February 2020 and will continue until 31 January 2021
Western Health Cardiology has a major focus on teaching, training and research affiliated with the University of Melbourne. Registrars and Fellows are expected to be actively engaged in research projects and teaching. The department is involved in a number of international multicentre randomised trials as well as independent investigator initiated research projects.
The Western Health Cardiology Unit is serviced by over 20 VMO Cardiologists, 2 Fellows, 4 Registrars and 4 HMOs. The Registrars comprise of 4 Accredited Cardiology Advanced Trainees.
The Fellowship was established in recognition of the significant contribution made by Professor Yean L. Lim AM to the development of Interventional Cardiology in Australia and particularly Melbourne’s metropolitan west.
The position offered is a full time Fellowship for 12 month duration dedicated to procedural interventional cardiology training and research in the field of interventional cardiology. Trainees will be involved in complex cases including chronic total occlusions, bifurcation lesions and multi-vessel intervention.
